And on Friday Shakira was guest of honor at the groundbreaking of two new schools – one in Cartagena and the second in her native Barranquilla.
The construction of both will be financed by Shakira’s Barefoot Foundation (Pies Descalzos) that currently manages three schools for underprivileged children and the Barca Foundation.
The Deja Vu singer looked gorgeous in a pink, off-the-shoulder blouse with lace panels and blue jeans.
She happily posed with school children at the ceremony, who welcomed her warmly, as hundreds more waved and held up posters
