Jace, a compassionate individual, was biking to a basketball game when he came across a distressing scene by the road. A small dog, clearly in need of help, caught his attention with visible wounds on her body. Although he couldn’t rescue her on the spot, he couldn’t bear to leave her alone. After making a few phone calls, he arranged for someone to pick her up and provide the care she desperately needed. This act of kindness changed the course of the little dog’s life forever.
Jace contacted his mother, who quickly rallied the Mission Pawsible team to assist in saving the adorable dog. The pup was curled up in a corner, asleep, but when the strangers neared her, she became defensive, signaling them to keep their distance. Although she was terrified of people, the team was resolute in their mission to rescue her. They devised a plan to bring her to safety.
Initially, they inquired in the neighborhood to determine where she lived or if she had an owner. To their dismay, they discovered that the dog did have an owner, despite the neglect she had suffered.
Mission Pawsible shared the heartbreaking story of a once beautiful puppy from the west who was neglected and left covered in dreadlocks, ticks, and fleas. The lack of proper care has led her to be fearful of humans. This highlights the importance of educating people on both the physical and mental aspects of pet care.
It seems likely that she had never experienced a bath or had someone who cared for her properly. Rescuers attempted to capture her with food but she proved to be too clever for that. Finally, after thirty minutes of coaxing, the ‘owner’ came on a scooter and managed to put a leash on her.
The person in charge gave us permission to rescue her. Lexie’s eyes were filled with sadness and confusion, which was truly heartbreaking to see. Taking pets away from their owners is always a tough situation. Despite being neglected and having dreadlocks, it was clear that she still had love for her human. Although initially upset, Lexie eventually calmed down, sensing that they were there to help her. This marked the beginning of a new and wonderful chapter in her life.

After being taken to the vet, she received a fresh haircut and enjoyed some tasty food. Following the grooming, her cuts and injuries were examined and luckily, they were not severe.
Despite feeling downhearted and a little low, the clinic staff assured her that she could overcome her sorrow and learn to trust again. All she needed was a caring foster home or a forever home where she could relax and slowly regain trust.
Thankfully, a new home was found for her quickly, and Michellina Suminto, her new owner, was a perfect match. She instantly fell in love with Lexie and was actually searching for another furry friend for her existing pet.
In the blink of an eye, Lexie had blossomed into a fluffy puff of fur once her coat grew back, earning her the title of cutest dog in town. She quickly bonded with her new furry sibling, Edison, forming an unbreakable bond in just a few days. Michellina expressed her pride in Lexie’s newfound bravery, noting that she had overcome her fear of humans thanks to the love shown by a compassionate individual.
